Job Purpose
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, market expansion, and team performance across the assigned region by building a strong field force, ensuring effective execution of brand strategies, and achieving business targets in speciality therapy segments.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Growth
- Achieve regional sales targets and primary/secondary objectives
- Drive prescription generation and market share growth in key accounts
- Ensure effective execution of marketing and brand strategies
- Monitor competitor activity and recommend corrective actions
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, coach, and motivate ABMs & frontline sales teams
- Conduct regular field work, joint calls, and performance reviews
- Build a high-performance, compliant, and ethical sales culture
- Identify and develop future leaders within the region
Planning & Control
- Prepare regional sales plans, forecasts, and budgets
- Ensure effective territory coverage and resource utilization
- Review sales performance, productivity, and ROI metrics
- Ensure timely reporting and adherence to company SOPs
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
- Coordinate with Marketing, HR, and Supply Chain teams
- Support new product launches and promotional campaigns
Candidate Profile
Education
- Graduate in any discipline
- MBA / PGDM (Sales & Marketing) preferred
Experience
- 8–12 years of total pharmaceutical sales experience
- Minimum 2–4 years as an RSM or Senior ABM
- Strong experience in speciality / focused therapy segments
- Exposure to Nephro / Uro / Gynaec preferred

Medical Representative (MR)
Key Responsibilities
- Promote company products to doctors, hospitals, and healthcare professionals as per assigned territory
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Plan and execute daily field visits effectively
- Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, chemists, and stockists
- Conduct product detailing and scientific discussions with doctors
- Implement promotional strategies and brand activities
- Collect market intelligence, competitor information, and customer feedback
- Ensure timely reporting and compliance with company policies
- Coordinate with first-line managers for sales planning and execution
Desired Candidate Profile
- Graduate in any discipline (Science / Pharmacy preferred)
- 1–2 years of experience as a Medical Representative in a pharma company
- Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation and influencing abilities
- Result-driven with a positive attitude
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area
